This privacy policy applies to the Credit Card Central mobile application. We believe in keeping things simple and transparent about how your data is handled.

What We Collect

Credit Card Central is designed to respect your privacy:

• Local Storage Only: Your credit card information and settings are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage
• No Server Transmission: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or card data to our servers
• Advertising Data: We use Google Mobile Ads which may collect advertising data according to Google's privacy policies
• App Tracking: On iOS, we request App Tracking Transparency permission for personalized ads, but you can decline without affecting app functionality

Your Card Data

All your credit card data stays on your device:

• Card names and nicknames
• Reward categories and rates
• Annual fee amounts and dates
• Personal notes

This data is never uploaded to any server. If you delete the app, all your data is permanently removed from your device.

Privacy Effort

We make reasonable efforts to protect your privacy, but we provide the app "as is" with no guarantees. By using Credit Card Central, you acknowledge that:

• We are not responsible for any issues, damages, or data loss that may occur
• Third-party services (like advertising providers) have their own privacy policies
• Your use of the app is at your own risk
• We do not provide warranties regarding data security or availability

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Google Mobile Ads: For displaying advertisements. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for information on how they handle data.
• Expo Platform: For app updates and infrastructure. Review Expo's Privacy Policy for more information.

Advertising

Credit Card Central displays advertisements through Google AdMob:

• Ads are configured for non-personalized content by default
• On iOS, we request tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency) to show personalized ads, but declining does not affect app functionality
• In the EEA and UK, Google's consent framework applies and ads fall back to non-personalized when consent is declined
• Google may collect device identifiers and usage information for ad serving

• The one-time Pro upgrade removes ads entirely

Purchases

The optional Pro upgrade (which removes ads) is a one-time in-app purchase:

• Payment is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) — we never see your payment details
• Purchases are managed through RevenueCat using a pseudonymous, app-generated identifier so your purchase can be restored on a new device. Review RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details
• No name, email, or account is required to purchase or restore

Notifications

Deadline reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. There is no push server: nothing about your cards or deadlines leaves your phone to deliver a reminder, and you can turn them off any time in the app's settings or your device settings.

Children's Privacy

Credit Card Central is intended for users who manage credit cards. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Data Retention

Since all your data is stored locally on your device:

• Data persists until you delete the app
• We have no access to your data and cannot recover it if lost

Your Rights

Since we don't collect or store your personal data on our servers:

• You have complete control over your data on your device
• You can delete all data by uninstalling the app
• You can control ad preferences through your device settings

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any changes.
